　　Southern University of Science and Technology(abbreviated as South University of Science and Technology)is a new public research university with a high starting point and positioning,established in Shenzhen under the background of China's higher education reform and development.On February 14,2022,the Ministry of Education and other three ministries and commissions announced the second round of"Double First Class"construction universities and disciplines,and Southern University of Science and Technology and mathematics disciplines were selected as"Double First Class"construction universities and disciplines.The school draws inspiration from the discipline setting and educational model of world-class science and engineering universities,with a discipline system mainly focused on science,engineering,and medicine,combining business and characteristic humanities and social sciences.It operates at the undergraduate,master's,and doctoral levels,conducting research in a series of new disciplinary directions,making the school a think tank that leads social development and a source of new knowledge and technology.
